The purpose of the DDA is to assist children and families with developmental delays who have to cope with everyday demands such as going to school, interacting with friends and relatives, or attending medical appointments. As such, it is designed to provide children with the ability to meet their basic needs by offering assistance on a short term basis. The purpose of the DDA is to assist in fulfilling various requirements of everyday life. It has been established for the benefit of children with specific needs. In order to be eligible for a Daily Care Allowance you must live with your parents or guardians in their household.
